my very own starbucks
aAs my loyal readers are already aware, I’m a bit of a worshipper of the caffeine goddess. but admittedly, it’s not a cheap vice. and because it’s not, i have an expectation that they could at least get that $hit right. so it’s been eating at me that consistently for the past several weeks (i try to not stop in more than one morning a week – a noble goal that i rarely achieve) this kid that works there has made my beverage of choice somewhat to mildly not to my liking. and i don’t want to take the easy way out, the location there at pinecroft and lake woodlands drive is perfectly placed between home and the office.
i don’t ask for much in the line of bizarre orders; but because i want my drink to last an hour or so, i ask for extra hot, and because i’m conscientious of the fact that i sit still for a living, i ask for non-fat. and because i’m paying over four bucks for my fix, i expect a full cup. i had determined then, that this week when i stopped in i would voice my complaints, despite the fact that this may very well win me some finger dipping in my foam or some such nonsense.
so imagine my delight and surprise when dana, the manager, took the time to hear me out, apologize for each individual wrong, thank me for bringing these things to her attention, promise to tell the kid the next time he was on what i said and wrapped it all up with a certificate for a free whatever i want the next time i’m in. aaaaah, finally, excellent customer service!
thank you, dana! you’d make howard schultz proud!
