there’s this new girl at the office. she’s really nice. she talks to me (a huge bonus, right there – you don’t even know!). and she and i really seem to get along. but the thing is, i don’t think she’s gonna make it. cause she has problems with the same a$$hole i have problems with, only in her case, he’s her direct supervisor. and while i at least have another layer of job security that she doesn’t by having a different manager, she should totally be able to take this guy down. i mean, that’s just how our line of work is!
but that’s just it. because she’s a nice girl, and because even though i’m a nice girl, too, we’re apparently not in the same league of niceness – because she just can’t bring herself to be a biotch. instead, she’s totally taking the high road. she’s saving her dignity, salvaging her pride and walking away.
the thing of it is though, this girl did exactly what anyone in her situation with a normal amount of common sense would have done, and in response to that, this guy totally kicked it up a notch and instead made her feel like she was the one that had done something wrong and then went even further to tell her that she had no right talking to me about what happened because, well, i’m outside the circle.

what a$$hole doesn’t realize is that while i may be outside the circle, i circulate on a whole different orbit than he does. so he can just shove off.
meanwhile, the girl, who i’d like to call my friend, i’m pretty sure is leaving. which sucks. cause what with the boss being temorarily out of commission (which, mind you, only matters when i’m on the good side of that particular center of the universe) and with the fact that i really have no other friends at work, only more two-faces liars that speak to me only under duress or obligation, it pretty well leaves me alone there.
*sigh* time to do a little non-blogging pc time…
