i don’t get it. a year ago, where i work seemed like such a happy family kind of place to be. we all really liked each other, we all got along. but this past year, i dunno… a lot has happened. the dynamic has changed. and never has that been more obvious than today. because in the course of a day, just one, singular, nine-to-five span, we managed to fire someone, have someone quit and wish someone would just disappear. seriously.
i mean, a girl could get a complex. is it me? what, do i smell funny or something? *sniff* no….
or is it the undercurrent? the fact that the boss and i are the only one’s that truly know what’s going on, but that undercurrent is strong anyway and people are picking up on it?
well put on your lifevests, folks. i have the distinct feeling the undercurrent is about to become the raging rapids. and it’s all sink or swim out here, people. sink or swim.
