don’t do the thing that you know will only result in bad things happening. now – to tell this story holds, for me, the slightest element of risk. because on the off chance that the person whom it is about were to read it, she would of course know exactly who it was about, which would directly result in her knowing who i am, which, depending on how much i ever decide to say either in past, present or future, could be troubling to my continued existence. and as they say in the business, i would rather live my life in the manner to which i’ve grown accustomed. ha.
that being said, it was damn funny.
so the end of the day rolled around, and when i was literally less than a minute away from escaping the office, having finally sucessfully completed the billing process this morning, feeling pretty good, when i got a call. it went something like this:
h: oh, good, you’re still here.
m: ehm, yeah… i was just leaving, what’s up?
h: well, i got this email saying i had an e-card, and so i
m: wait, did you know who it was from?
h: well, i thought i did
m: oh, no.
h: oh, $hit! i clicked the link in the email and my computer just rebooted!! all by itself!!!
m: oh, hell. now what? is it doing anything?
h: oh, yeah, it’s rebooted now. oh, hey, good! it says it’s infected and it wants me to go download something to fix it!
me: noooooo!!! don’t touch anything!!! i’ll be right there.
h: *tiny voice* okay.
*sigh*
